Poquoson Museum Partners With Poquoson Historical Commission
The Poquoson Historical Commission and the Poquoson Museum agreed to join in their endeavor to preserve, document, and interpret Poquoson's diverse heritage. These two organizations acknowledge the need to broaden existing publication programs and to establish a more aggressive search for artifacts, artwork, and archival items interpreting Poquoson's history.
The partnership formed between the Poquoson Historical Commission and the Poquoson Museum is a very positive action, as it consolidates the research, documentation and preservation of Poquoson's history and cultural heritage at one place. Accordingly, the partnership of efforts by these two groups should serve to enhance the public's awareness and understanding of, and access to, interpretative programs, publications, exhibits and historical collections documenting the history of Poquoson.
